You'll gain self-awareness and learn the foundational skills necessary for leading a team in today's fast-paced environment characterized by hybrid work teams, an increasing reliance on technology, and continuous change. 

This 5-week program combines self-paced learning with one-on-one virtual coaching sessions so you can learn on your own AND benefit from interaction and discussion with an expert coach.

Components include:

Self-Paced Learning

Read, study, and learn at your own pace. Chapters and assignments are available to you to complete at your convenience.
You're free to refer back to previous sections, highlight interesting sections, and keep notes.
You will always have access to this course for future reference!

4 Virtual Coaching Sessions

At the close of each primary segment, you'll meet for a one-on-one coaching session with the course author, Karen Main.

Use these meetings to review course content, ask questions, or discuss any challenges you're having. Your coach will bring scenarios and discussion questions to stimulate additional learning. 

Note: You will not be able to advance to the next session until you touch base with your coach!

Certificate of Completion

Karen Main

Hi. My name is Karen Main and I've devoted the past twenty years to studying the best practices of highly effective leaders. I want to help you become the most effective leader you can be! 

I'm the owner of Innovations in Training, a training and consulting company specializing in leadership and team development. 

I'm also the author of Pitfalls and Possibilities: A Leadership Fable. It's the story of two new managers who learn, along the way, what it means to truly lead a team. 

The Moving into Leadership program is different: it's not a 1-shot webinar. It's a comprehensive program designed for individuals new to supervision. Over the years I've worked with hundreds of new supervisors and understand the core skills and approaches that are the bridge to your success. There's no fluff (well, maybe a few fun pieces) but instead practical, relevant, business-focused information to get you started in the right direction. In addition, I'm on hand to coach, support, and encourage you in your initial journey as a supervisor.
